Game Day Requirements:

• SOSA Jersey - these are available at Cascade Athletic on Biddle Road.
• Black Shorts
• Black Socks (other colors are okay - but would like whole team to have same color)
• Shin Guards (which go under the socks)
• Soccer Cleats - not required for Kinder but are highly recommended)
• Water Bottle (not required but we highly encourage this)

• Please bring a size 3 soccer ball (coaches will have a few on hand but not enough for each player).
• Player must wear shin guards to practice

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1.  What Is The Age Restriction for Kinder:
Typically this program is for kindergartners.  Need to be at least 5 years old prior to the season starting.  HOWEVER...exceptions are granted on a case by case basis.  Please contact Mary Valdes with questions or requests.
2.  When Does The Season Start?  
The season starts two weeks after the U8-U14 players start.  You will typically see teams practicing prior to kinder registration closing.
3.    When Will I Hear From A Coach For Practice?
You will hear from a coach no later than the first week prior to the first game.  Should have at minimum one practice before the first game.
4.  What Time is Practice and Where?
Practices will be at Colver Field or Talent Elementary and times will be determined by the coach.  Since we are a 100% volunteer run club, the volunteer coach will schedule practice based on his/her availability.  If you are interested in coaching, please get in touch with Mary Valdes.  Kinder teams practice one day a week for 45-60 minutes.
5.  When And Where Are Games Held?
Games are played on Saturday at Mae Richardson Elementary.  Games typically start at 9:00 and end in the early afternoon.  Games are 2-15 minutes halves with a 5 minute halftime. SOSA kinder teams are included in the Junior Comet Soccer league.  SOSA usually has at least 2 home games.

7.  How many games are included in one season?
Kinder season consists of six games.

The goal of the SOSA Kinder program is to positively impact the development of youth soccer in our community.  We want to provide soccer opportunities to the youngest players of all differing abilities and to create a lifelong passion for the sport of soccer in hope of raising the level of soccer in our city, state and nation!!!  Bottom line is this:  SOSA kinder program wants to promote a fun, safe and healthy soccer environment!!
